A sparkling Shakespearean comedy contrasting two romances: the witty, hostile battle of wits between Beatrice and Benedick, who are tricked into falling in love, and the innocent love of Hero and Claudio, which is nearly destroyed by a malicious deception. Set in Messina, this lively play explores wit, honor, and gossip.
