Gilbert and Sullivan's beloved comic opera by Gilbert & Sullivan following Frederic, a young man mistakenly apprenticed to a band of softhearted pirates until his 21st birthday. Upon his release, he falls for Mabel, the daughter of a modern Major-General, but discovers that being born on Leap Day (February 29) means he is technically still bound to the pirates, delaying his happily-ever-after.
